The Generations and Gender Programme (GGP) at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University is seeking a Research Assistant to support an international research project. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented candidate to contribute to mapping the use of Generations and Gender Survey (GGS) data in scientific publications and research outputs.
How do living arrangements of young adults differ across Europe? Wiktoria Bąchorek and Marta Bryzek analysed Generations and Gender Survey (GGS) data from nearly 50,000 respondents aged 18–34 across 16 countries and regions. Their findings reveal substantial cross-country variation: while only 11.1% of young adults live with their parents in Finland, the share exceeds 41% in Croatia. The analysis also highlights the wide research potential of GGS data for studying family life and life-course transitions.
