From October 29 to November 12, the pilot of the questionnaire for the second wave of the Contemporary Czech family project (the Czech GGS-II) will take place. Before starting the data collection, the selected respondents will help us test and refine the questionnaire. When do Czech women and men experience important reproductive milestones, such as the birth of their first child or their first sexual experience? This is the focus of the latest leaflet with the results of the “Contemporary Czech Family" research.
A significant decrease in short-term and long-term fertility plans occurred among young people aged 18-39 between 2020 and 2022, when the data collection of the first wave of the "Contemporary Czech Family" (Czech GGS-II) took place. In 2022, respondents indicated that they wanted to have a child in the next three years and in the more distant future less often than in 2020.
