The GGP expanding its activities.
In the last years, the GGP went through a crisis caused by underfinancing and lack of staff in many participating countries as well as within the Central Coordination Team. The Czech Republic, as a representant of this crisis, conducted the last wave of data collection in 2008. However, new structure of financing and more stable sources of funding for Research Infrastructures seems to be a beginning of a bright future of the project. The GGP thus confirmed itself as a unique source of valuable data, which currently does not have competitors in its field. As a result, former participants have been joined by many new countries. The Czech node will be hosted by Masaryk University, which will evolve the cooperation with Charles University on this project.
