PhD researcher/student position at Masaryk University

The Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University invites applications for the position of

PhD researcher/student in sociology/demography/survey methodology

for a fixed term 4-year appointment beginning January 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The successful candidate will join the Czech GGP (Generations and Gender Programme) team and will participate in the organization of the GGP in Czechia, especially in the implementation of the GGS survey (locally known as “Contemporary Czech Family Project”) including data quality monitoring and assessment; s/he will use the data for methodological and/or substantive research.

The team is a national node of the The Generations and Gender Programme (GGP), a multinational research infrastructure devoted to the study of population and family dynamics.

This is a fully funded PhD position. Appointment is for 50 % FTE. No tuition/fees are charged.

QUALIFICATIONS

The appointee shall hold an applicable M.A. degree, for example in demography, sociology, data science, survey methodology or statistics.

To successfully attend to the duties of the position, the appointee must have good English skills.

The chosen applicant is expected to reside in Brno or close vicinity while employed by Masaryk University.
